Privacy Policy
Overview
Swizzler is a cocktail recipe app for iOS. Your privacy is fundamental to how we built it: we don’t collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.
Data Storage
All of your recipes, ingredients, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. We have no servers, no databases, and no way to access your data.
iCloud Sync
If you have iCloud enabled, your data may sync across your Apple devices through Apple’s CloudKit infrastructure. This is managed entirely by Apple — we have no access to your iCloud data. For details, see Apple’s iCloud Privacy Overview.
On-Device Processing
Swizzler uses two Apple frameworks to process content entirely on your device:
- Vision (OCR) — extracts text from recipe photos
- Foundation Models — uses on-device AI to parse unstructured recipe text
All processing happens locally. No text, images, or recipe data is sent to any external server or API.
Web Requests
When you import a recipe by URL, Swizzler fetches the web page directly from your device — the same way Safari would. We do not proxy, log, or inspect these requests. No URLs or page contents are sent to us or any third party.
Third-Party Services
Swizzler uses no third-party services:
- No analytics or crash reporting SDKs
- No advertising networks
- No social media integrations
- No third-party APIs
Children’s Privacy
Swizzler does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because no data is collected, Swizzler is compliant with COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act).
Data Retention
There is nothing to retain. We have no servers and collect no data. Any data you create in the app exists only on your device (and your iCloud account, if enabled). Deleting the app removes all local data.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Since we don’t collect contact information, we cannot notify you directly — please check back periodically.
